How to update Key Levels indicator to version 3

The Key Levels version 3 introduces a new licensing validation that does not rely on NinjaTrader Machine Id.

Step 1: Install the License Manager

The ASCENDO License Manager validates your product licenses and must be installed before using any ASCENDO products.

Note: If you’ve already installed the License Manager, skip to Step 2.

• Otherwise, follow these instructions to install it.

Step 2: Save your Default Template

In theory, you should not have to recreate your default template after the upgrade. However, as a precaution, save your default template as a reference.

1. Add the Key Levels indicator to a chart
2. Access its properties window
3. Take clear screenshots of all your current default parameters
4. Save these screenshots in an easily accessible folder

These screenshots will help you quickly configure version 3 with your preferred settings.

Step 3: Install the new version

1. Open the NinjaTrader Control Center window
2. Select Tools → Import → NinjaScript Add-On…
3. In the Import File Explorer window, navigate to where you saved the product zip file
4. Select the product zip file and click Open
5. Follow any on-screen prompts to complete the installation
6. Restart NinjaTrader if required

Step 4: Verify your Default Template

1. Add the Key Levels indicator to a chart
2. Open its properties window
3. Using the screenshots from Step 2, verify that all your default parameters are correctly preserved
4. If any parameters changed, reconfigure them and save as the Default Template
